the endangered Mountain Gorillas in the wild and Marvel at the unique culture of the Batwa
Pygmies at Mgahinga Gorilla national park, watch the wildlife on a game drive and Boat cruise
at Lake Mburo National park, take Amazing photos and learn about different reptiles at the
Reptile Village in Entebbe. We shoulder all the trip burdens and arrange the best for you, right
from transportation, accommodation, pickup, and transfers. The safari starts and ends at Entebbe
international airport.
Upon Arriving at Entebbe International airport, meet our driver guide who will brief you about
the safari, share a glass of juice before starting the 5-6hour journey to Mgahinga national park
situated in the western part of the Country. You will make an en-route stopover at the Reptile
Village to learn about different reptiles such as the snakes, chameleons, and Tortoises among
others before heading for Lunch in the city and then proceed with the Journey while traversing
fascinating landscapes, exciting green plantations and scattered Homesteads in the countryside.
You will arrive in the evening and proceed for refreshment, dinner and a nap
You will start this day with a heavy cup of coffee before joining your driver guide who will take
you to the park headquarters for a pre trekking briefing by the Park Rangers. Here, you will be
registered, told the dos and don'ts while with the Gorillas, allocated a Gorilla family to track and
given a porter if you need any before escorting you to the Jungle for the Ultimate lifetime
activity. Gorilla trekking lasts for 1-6hours depending on your speed and the direction the
creatures have taken, plus one extra hour for photos, study these Apes among others.
Thereafter, you will depart for Lunch in the lodge before visiting the Batwa Pygmies who are
believed to be the shortest people in Uganda and one of the oldest cultures on earth. They are
former Hunters and gatherers in the Mgahinga Forest and will show you their caves, local
hunting tools, dance, and sing. When this is done, return to the lodge for dinner and a nap.
Depart Mgahinga National park for Lake Mburo national park after breakfast. A Drive that lasts
for roughly 4-5 hours while watching the rolling hills, very scenic landscape, the long Horned
Ankole cows grazing, and unique plantations among others. You will stop Lunch, and
photography before proceeding for an afternoon boat cruise in the park; an experience that opens
your eyes to a school of Hippos, Crocodiles, mammals, and Birds by the Lake Shores. Dinner
and overnight will follow
On this Day, you will leave your bed Very early in the morning; enjoy a delicious cup of coffee
before embarking on a 3-4 hour rewarding game drive in the vast savanna grassland gifted with
several mammals, primates such as baboons and monkeys, birds and trees among others. During
this period, expect to spot Buffalos, Impalas, the Ankole long-horned cows, elephants, warthogs,
zebras, Uganda Kobs, and the waterbuck among others.
After the game drive, return to the Lodge for lunch before checking out of the lodge for a 3-4
hour drive to Entebbe international airport for a flight to the next destination or home.

What to Know
Gorilla trekking in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park can be included or excluded depending on the package you choose. The permit costs $800 per person and allows you to spend one hour with the mountain gorillas. We can include it in your package or arrange it separately based on your preference.
The trip can be done all year round, but the best time is during the dry seasons (June–September and December–February). During this period, roads and trekking trails in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park and wildlife viewing in Lake Mburo National Park are much easier and more enjoyable.
