Travel Visa

Planning A trip to East Africa? Here is what you need to Know.

A visa is a conditional authorization from a country that allows a foreigner to enter, stay in, or leave its territory, usually stamped or glued into a passport. It is a document that demonstrates permission to enter for a specific purpose, such as tourism, work, or study, and typically includes limits on the duration of stay, permitted areas, and other conditions.  While often a physical stamp, a visa can also be an electronic record.

Getting Visa On Arrival Vs Online

An online Visa Application is fast and easier and can be applied for through: https://visas.immigration.go.ug/. On the other hand, you can also acquire A Visa at arrivals though it may come with delays.

After processing your Visa, it is advisable to carry both a printed and digital copy. This helps in case of any technical issues or if your phone battery dies during immigration.
