Depart from Kigali (or Kampala) at 7:00 AM with your assigned guide from Neste Uganda Safaris Ltd.
Enjoy scenic views en route through Rwanda’s rolling hills and lush countryside. Stopovers for
photography and local fruit/snack tasting along the way. In the Afternoon: Arrive in Musanze / Kinigi
town near Volcanoes National Park around midday., Check-in at your lodge or hotel (mid-range or luxury
options depending on your package) and Have lunch and take a short rest.

Late Afternoon: Head to the Volcanoes National Park Headquarters for a pre-hike briefing by Rwandan
Development Board (RDB) park rangers. Receive a safety orientation, hiking tips, and equipment check.
There can be an Optional: Visit the nearby Iby’iwacu Cultural Village or Dian Fossey Museum for a
cultural and historical experience. After Return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Early Morning: Have Early breakfast at the lodge (by 6:00 AM). And Transfer to the park headquarters
for final registration and assignment of guides/porters. At 7:00 AM, transfer to the Bisoke trailhead in
the park (about a 30–45 min drive). Begin the hike at around 8:00 AM with an experienced park ranger
and porters (optional). The trail is approximately 6 km one-way, ascending through lush rainforest,
bamboo zones, and alpine vegetation. On a lucky day Spot golden monkeys, birds, and possibly
mountain gorillas (from a distance).
After 4–5 hours of trekking, arrive at the summit of Mt. Bisoke, marked by a stunning crater lake. Spend
20–30 minutes at the summit for photos, rest, and light refreshments (carried by guide or porters).
Begin the descent back to the base, which takes about 2–3 hours. Late Afternoon: you will Return to the
lodge for lunch and a hot shower and Depert for Kigali Rwanda.
