Nile, which is the longest river on earth, has its source in the eastern part of Uganda, where it starts a
three-month journey to the Mediterranean Sea, crossing several countries including Sudan and Egypt.
You will engage in an interesting boat cruise to the source of the Nile, zip-lining at Mabira forest, visiting
the reptile village, and white water rafting among other activities. This trip will exceed your
expectations.
2 Days River Nile Safari
This 2-day adventure takes you from Entebbe to the source of the Nile in Jinja, combining wildlife encounters, scenic drives, adventure sports, and cultural experiences. On Day 1, you’ll visit the Reptile Village in Entebbe, then drive through the lush Mabira Forest and picturesque landscapes en route to Jinja, culminating in a relaxing boat ride at the Nile’s source. Day 2 is dedicated to adrenaline-pumping activities like white-water rafting at Itanda Falls, complemented by breathtaking photo opportunities and serene moments along the river. This trip is ideal for adventure seekers, nature lovers, and anyone wanting to experience Uganda’s iconic waterways.
On arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be met by a driver guide from Ultimate safaris who
will brief you about the 2-days experience at the source of the Nile, while sharing a glass of Juice and
responding to your questions. You will Visit the Reptile Village situated in Entebbe to see some Rare
Reptiles that have been rescued from this community such as different snake types, Chameleons,
Tortoise, crocodiles, turtles, and Lizards among others. Thereafter, the diver guide will get to the
steering wheel for a 3-4 hour drive to Jinja town, bypassing magnificent infrastructures, great water
bodies, the great Mabira forest, the eye-catching jinja bridge, and the sugarcane Plantations.
Stopovers include one for Lunch around the city and the other at Mabira Forest for zip lining before
proceeding to Jinja town, home to River Nile where you will have a rewarding boat ride to the source of
the Nile (The world's Longest River). After that, you will be driven to your Hotel for dinner meal and
overnight
You will start this day with a Lip smacking Cup of coffee before joining your driver-guide for an epic drive
to Itanda falls where you will take photos, be amazed by the beautiful sceneries covering the Place, and
engage in white water rafting as you tussle it out with the violent water rapids for approximately
30minutes-2hours depending on your preference. Thereafter, drive back to the lodge for refreshment
and Lunch before checking out of the lodge for a drive to Entebbe international airport or your
residence.
