Your adventure begins with a scenic morning drive from Nairobi to Lake Naivasha, taking approximately
two hours through the Rift Valley’s dramatic landscapes. Along the way, enjoy a brief stop at the Great
Rift Valley viewpoint for panoramic photo opportunities. Upon arrival at your lodge or lakeside camp,
check in and enjoy a relaxing lunch with views of the water.
In the afternoon, embark on a boat safari on Lake Naivasha, where you’ll glide past groups of hippos,
flocks of African fish eagles, cormorants, pelicans, and other water birds. The peaceful boat ride offers
stunning views and great photo opportunities. After the boat ride, proceed to Crescent Island for a
guided walking safari. Here, you’ll walk among zebras, giraffes, impalas, and wildebeest—a rare chance
to experience wildlife on foot in a predator-free environment. Return to your lodge in time for dinner
and overnight rest.

After breakfast, head out to Hell’s Gate National Park, one of Kenya’s most unique and accessible parks.
Unlike traditional safaris, Hell’s Gate allows visitors to explore the terrain on foot or by bicycle, offering a
thrilling and personal experience with nature. Rent a bike at the gate (or bring your own) and cycle
between dramatic lava-carved cliffs, towering rock formations, and through open plains where you
might spot zebras, antelopes, baboons, and even buffalo.
After the cycling adventure, take a guided walk through the Hell’s Gate Gorge (weather permitting),
famous for its narrow canyons, geothermal steam vents, and scenes that inspired the Lion King. For
lunch, enjoy a picnic inside the park or return to your lodge for a leisurely meal. In the afternoon, you
may opt to visit the Olkaria Geothermal Spa, where you can soak in warm mineral-rich waters
surrounded by nature.
Return to your accommodation in the evening to unwind, enjoy dinner, and possibly sit by a campfire if
available.

On your final day, enjoy a relaxed breakfast with views of the lake. Depending on your departure time,
you can opt for a morning nature walk along the lake shore, a visit to the nearby Elsamere Conservation
Centre (former home of Joy Adamson, author of Born Free), or simply unwind at your lodge with some
birdwatching—the area is home to over 400 bird species. After checking out, begin your drive back to

Nairobi, arriving in the early afternoon. If time allows, you can stop for souvenirs or a local lunch along
the way, wrapping up a fulfilling and peaceful escape to one of Kenya’s most beautiful lake regions.
