Depart Nairobi early in the morning for the scenic drive to Amboseli National Park, located
approximately 4–5 hours south near the Tanzanian border. Enjoy the changing landscapes as you
descend into the open plains, passing rural towns and Maasai settlements along the way. Upon arrival,
check into your lodge or tented camp just in time for lunch and some rest.
In the late afternoon, head out for your first game drive in the park. This is the golden hour when the
lighting is perfect for photography, and wildlife begins to emerge from the heat of the day. You’re likely
to see elephants with Kilimanjaro in the background, as well as buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes,
and possibly even lions or cheetahs. After the game drive, return to your lodge for dinner and an
overnight stay under the star-lit African sky.

Begin the day with an early morning game drive, when the air is crisp and wildlife is most active. This is
also your best chance to see Mount Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peak before clouds roll in. Explore the
swamp areas, where you can observe large elephant herds feeding and bathing—some of the most
iconic scenes in Amboseli. Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast, followed by some leisure time or
an optional visit to a nearby Maasai village to learn about traditional culture and lifestyle (optional and
at an extra cost).
After lunch, head out again for an afternoon game drive, including a stop at Observation Hill, a raised
platform offering panoramic views of the park, the marshes, and wildlife below. Look out for predators
such as lions, hyenas, and jackals, or scan the skies for martial eagles and other raptors. Return to your
lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

Enjoy a final early morning game drive to catch any last glimpses of Amboseli rich wildlife and, if lucky,
another clear view of Mount Kilimanjaro. After breakfast, check out from your lodge and begin your
journey back to Nairobi, arriving in the early to mid-afternoon. Depending on your interests and
schedule, you may include optional stops en route—such as a local curio shop, Emali town market, or a
roadside viewpoint. Upon arrival in Nairobi, your guide will drop you off at your preferred location,
concluding your unforgettable Amboseli safari experience.
