Depart Nairobi in the morning and enjoy a scenic drive down into the Great Rift Valley, stopping
at a viewpoint to capture the sweeping landscapes. Arrive at Lake Naivasha mid-morning and
check into your lodge or lakeside resort. After a relaxing lunch, head out for a boat safari on the
lake. Glide past floating hippos, spot African fish eagles, kingfishers, and pelicans, all while
enjoying the serene setting.
Your boat safari ends at Crescent Island, where you’ll enjoy a guided walking safari among
zebras, giraffes, impalas, and waterbucks-with no predators present, this is one of the few places
in Kenya where walking among wildlife is safe and encouraged. Return to your accommodation
in the late afternoon to relax, dine, and enjoy the lakeside atmosphere.

After an early breakfast, depart Lake Naivasha for Lake Nakuru National Park—a drive of
approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Enter the park and begin your first game drive, exploring the rich
ecosystems around the lake and acacia forests. Lake Nakuru is home to both black and white
rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffalos, zebras, baboons, and a variety of antelopes. If you're
lucky, you may spot a leopard or lion, especially during early hours.
Head to a scenic spot like Baboon Cliff for panoramic views over the lake, then enjoy a picnic
lunch or eat at the park’s lodge (depending on your package). In the afternoon, continue your
game drive along the lake’s shoreline, where flamingos (seasonal) and pelicans feed in the
shallow waters. Visit Makalia Falls, especially during rainy seasons when the water is flowing.
As the sun sets, exit the park and head to your lodge or camp near Nakuru for dinner and
overnight stay.

Start your final day with an optional early morning game drive in Lake Nakuru for another
chance to spot elusive wildlife and enjoy the park in the soft morning light. After breakfast at
your lodge, check out and begin your drive back to Nairobi. If you have time and interest, you
can choose an optional stop on the way back—such as the Lake Elementaita viewpoint, local

souvenir shops, or a quick visit to Lord Egerton Castle for a bit of colonial-era history. Arrive in
Nairobi by early or mid-afternoon, marking the end of a diverse and rewarding Rift Valley safari.
