Embark on a remarkable 3-day Gorilla Trekking Safari to Uganda, the "Pearl of Africa," home to half of the world's endangered mountain gorillas. This adventure takes you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a haven for the largest concentration of individual mountain gorillas. You’ll trek through the dense forests to meet these gentle giants, while also exploring the local Batwa pygmy communities, enjoying scenic photography stops at the Equator, and more. Your journey begins and ends at Entebbe International Airport.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, a representative from Uganda Next Safaris will meet and brief you about the thrilling experience of tracking mountain gorillas. After refreshments, your adventure begins with a scenic 9-10 hour drive to Bwindi via the Mbarara route, offering breathtaking views of Uganda's diverse landscapes.

Dinner and Overnight: Gorilla Haven Lodge (Budget) or Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge (Midrange)
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Cultural Encounter
Rise early for a cup of African coffee before heading to the park headquarters for a pre-trekking briefing at 7 a.m. You'll be assigned a gorilla family to track, and the trek begins at 8:30 a.m. The length of the trek can range from 1 to 8 hours, depending on the gorillas' movements. While the journey can be physically demanding, encountering the majestic silverbacks and observing family interactions makes it unforgettable.
After the trek, enjoy a lunch break before visiting the Batwa pygmy community. Experience their traditional way of life, from hunting techniques to cultural dances.

Day 3: Return to Entebbe
After a morning coffee, check out for the return journey to Entebbe. Along the way, you’ll stop at the Equator for photos and demonstrations before continuing to Entebbe International Airport for your departure.
