Embark on a rewarding 3-day, 2-night adventure at Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most visited national park. Named after Queen Elizabeth II, this diverse landscape boasts an incredible variety of wildlife, including the Big Five, primates, and hundreds of bird species. Nestled in southwestern Uganda, the park offers breathtaking views of the snowcapped Rwenzori Mountains and features both savannah and forest vegetation.

Your tour begins and ends in Entebbe or Kampala.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport or from your location in Kampala, our professional safari guide will meet and brief you before beginning the scenic 8-9 hour journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Along the way, enjoy stunning views of lush plantations, rolling hills, and vibrant local communities.

En Route Highlights:

  • Equator Stopover: Pause for photos, snacks, and refreshments at the Uganda Equator, a perfect spot for memorable pictures.
  • Lunch in Mbarara: Enjoy a delicious meal at Igongo Cultural Center (at your own expense), where you can also explore local heritage exhibits.
  • Twin Crater Lakes: Take in the breathtaking scenery of the twin crater lakes at Kichwamba before proceeding to the park.

Upon arrival, check into your lodge, enjoy a relaxing evening, and savor a delicious dinner before overnighting in the heart of the wilderness.


Day 2: Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Morning Game Drive

Start your day with an early breakfast before heading into the Kisenyi sector for an exciting game drive. Expect close encounters with a variety of wildlife, including:

  • African elephants
  • Lions
  • Cape buffaloes
  • Leopards
  • Warthogs
  • Uganda kobs
  • Bushbucks and oribis
  • Primates and reptiles

Marvel at the park’s dramatic landscapes and diverse bird species before heading to the Queen’s Pavilion for lunch.

Afternoon Boat Cruise on the Kazinga Channel

In the afternoon, embark on a scenic boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. This is a prime spot for viewing:

  • Hippos
  • Nile crocodiles
  • Numerous water birds
  • Elephants and buffaloes cooling off along the shores

Relax as you soak in the cool breeze and capture stunning photos before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.


Day 3: Return to Kampala

After an early breakfast, check out and begin your return journey to Kampala. Along the way, pass through scenic landscapes, including:

  • River Nyamwamba in Kasese, known for its historical floods.
  • Fort Portal – Uganda’s Tourism City, offering beautiful views of the Rwenzori foothills.
  • Equator Stopover: Another opportunity for lunch, photography, and souvenirs.

Enjoy a comfortable drive back to Kampala or Entebbe, where your safari concludes with a drop-off at your lodge or the airport.
