Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be welcomed by our professional driver-guide, who will brief you about the safari. Enjoy a welcome drink before starting your 9-10 hour scenic drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. En route, stop for lunch at the Igongo Cultural Center. As you travel, marvel at the beautiful landscapes, lush plantations, and traditional homesteads along the way.
Arrive at your lodge in the evening, where you can relax, enjoy dinner, and rest ahead of your exciting gorilla trekking experience.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Cultural Encounter
Start your day with a hearty breakfast before your guide takes you to the park headquarters for a pre-trekking briefing by the park rangers. You'll learn the dos and don'ts while trekking and be assigned a gorilla family to track.
The trek can last between 1-8 hours depending on the gorillas’ movements, but once you find them, you’ll have a magical hour observing and photographing these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, experience the culture of the Batwa pygmies, one of the oldest tribes in Africa. Learn about their way of life as former forest dwellers, including their traditional hunting methods, caves, dances, and songs.

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park & Boat Cruise
After breakfast, depart Mgahinga and embark on a 5-6 hour drive to Lake Mburo National Park. Along the way, take in the rolling hills, scenic landscapes, and the iconic long-horned Ankole cows grazing in the fields. Stop again at the Igongo Cultural Center for lunch.
Upon arrival at Lake Mburo, enjoy an afternoon boat cruise on the lake, where you'll witness hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species. Keep an eye on the shores for mammals like buffalo and waterbuck.

Day 4: Game Drive & Departure
Wake up early for a rewarding 3-4 hour game drive through the savannah grasslands of Lake Mburo National Park. Expect to see a variety of wildlife, including buffalo, impalas, zebras, warthogs, Uganda kobs, and possibly elephants.
After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch, then check out and embark on a 3-4 hour drive back to Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight or journey home.
