Detailed Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and City Tour
Arrival: Upon landing at Entebbe International Airport, you will meet your safari guide who will assist with airport formalities before transferring you to your lodge for rest.
City Tour: Explore Kampala's vibrant city life with visits to local markets, the National Museum, Gadhafi Mosque, and the King's Palace, including the historical touch chamber of former presidents. Enjoy lunch in the city before returning to your lodge for dinner and rest.
Day 2: Transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
Morning: Early breakfast at the lodge before heading to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.
Briefing and Trekking: Upon arrival, attend a pre-trekking briefing at the park headquarters, followed by document verification. Spend the day trekking through the forest, observing the majestic Mountain Gorillas in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to the lodge for refreshment, dinner, and rest.
Day 3: Batwa Trail Walk and Cultural Experience
Morning: After breakfast, meet with the Batwa people, an indigenous tribe with a rich cultural heritage. Begin with a briefing and prayer before embarking on a trail walk through the forest to learn about their traditional way of life, including medicinal plants, hunting tools, and cave dwellings.
