Detailed Trip Itinerary:
Day 1: Pickup, Game Drive, Boat Cruise & Drop-Off Your safari adventure begins early in the morning with a pickup from Kampala or an agreed-upon location. Set off for a scenic 3-4 hour drive to Lake Mburo National Park, passing through vibrant towns and lush countryside along the way.
Upon arrival at the park, embark on a game drive through the savannah, accompanied by a professional guide who will help you spot some of the park’s fascinating wildlife. Lake Mburo is home to an array of animals, including Impalas, zebras, African elephants, warthogs, Cape buffaloes, and more. Bird lovers will also be delighted by the diverse species found here, such as African fish eagles and papyrus gonoleks.
After a few hours of wildlife viewing and photography, enjoy a delicious lunch at a scenic spot in the park.
Next, head to Lake Mburo for a relaxing boat cruise. Glide along the lake’s calm waters as you observe hippos, Nile crocodiles, and a variety of aquatic birds, including the magnificent African fish eagle and colorful kingfishers. The boat ride provides excellent photo opportunities and a chance to experience the park from a different perspective.
On your way back to Kampala, make a stop at the Equator, where you can take memorable photos and explore some of the local shops for souvenirs.
