Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Flight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport or a designated location, you will be warmly welcomed by our experienced driver-guide, who will provide an insightful briefing about Uganda and the safari ahead. After a refreshing drink and a briefing session, you will board a chartered flight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Upon arrival at the park’s airstrip, you will be transferred to your lodge for check-in and relaxation. The evening will be spent at leisure, enjoying the tranquil ambiance of the forest. Conclude your day with a delightful dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Cultural Experience
Begin your day with an early breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a mandatory briefing on gorilla trekking rules and guidelines. Equipped with your packed lunch, water, and trekking permits, you will embark on a thrilling adventure into the dense forest.
Guided by experienced park rangers, you will track a specific gorilla family, spending approximately 1 to 7 hours in the jungle, depending on their movements. Once you locate the gorillas, you will have an awe-inspiring hour observing their behavior, taking photographs, and appreciating the remarkable similarities they share with humans, with over 95% genetic resemblance.
Following the trek, enjoy a well-deserved lunch before engaging in an enriching cultural encounter with the Batwa pygmies. Learn about their traditional way of life, including hunting, gathering, and survival skills passed down through generations. This cultural experience offers a unique insight into one of the oldest indigenous communities in Africa.
Return to your lodge for a relaxing evening, dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 3: Departure – Bwindi to Entebbe
