Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & Kampala City Tour

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, our expert driver-guide will warmly welcome you and provide a short briefing over a refreshing glass of juice. Your journey kicks off with a visit to the Entebbe Reptile Village, a conservation initiative that rescues and protects various reptiles, including snakes, tortoises, chameleons, and lizards. After an insightful tour, enjoy a delicious lunch before being transferred to your hotel for check-in, relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park & Ziwa Rhino Trekking

Start your day with a freshly brewed cup of Ugandan coffee before embarking on a scenic 5-6 hour drive to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest savannah park. Along the way, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an hour-long trek to observe Uganda’s only wild rhino population. After a late lunch, continue your journey to the lodge, where you’ll unwind before dinner and a restful night.

Day 3: Game Drive, Boat Cruise & Top of the Falls Hike

Begin the day with an early morning game drive in the northern sector of the park, where you’ll spot a variety of wildlife, including lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, and numerous bird species. After a mid-morning break, return to the lodge for lunch before embarking on a scenic boat cruise to the base of Murchison Falls. Capture stunning photos of hippos, crocodiles, and other wildlife along the Nile. Conclude the day with a rewarding hike to the top of the falls, where you’ll witness the Nile River forcefully squeezing through a narrow 7-meter gorge. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, often referred to as the “Medley of Wonders” due to its rich biodiversity. Enjoy the picturesque drive across the Albertine Rift Valley, stopping for lunch en route. Arrive at the park in the evening for check-in, dinner, and a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 5: Game Drive & Boat Cruise on the Kazinga Channel

Set out for an early morning game drive to observe elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, warthogs, and—if lucky—lions and leopards. After breakfast in the wilderness, return to the lodge for lunch and some rest. In the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where you’ll witness hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. Conclude the day with dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Trekking & Bird Watching

After breakfast, head to Kyambura Gorge for an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience. Accompanied by expert guides, explore the lush forest and observe these intelligent primates in their natural habitat. Following lunch, enjoy an afternoon of bird watching and guided nature walks, spotting some of the 350 unique bird species found in the park. End the day with dinner and a peaceful night’s rest.

Day 7: Tree-Climbing Lion Trek & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today’s adventure begins with tracking the famous tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. With luck, you’ll spot these majestic predators lounging in fig trees. After a rewarding wildlife experience, enjoy lunch before continuing to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Upon arrival, check into your lodge for dinner and a good night’s rest.

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Cultural Experience

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on an extraordinary gorilla trekking expedition. The trek lasts anywhere from 1-8 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla family. Once you find them, spend an hour observing their behavior, taking photos, and learning from the expert guides. After lunch, visit the Batwa Pygmy community to experience their traditional dances, storytelling, and rich cultural heritage. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Departure

Enjoy a final breakfast before beginning the journey back to Entebbe International Airport. En route, stop at the Equator for a photo opportunity and lunch. If your flight is scheduled for the next day, we will transfer you to your hotel for an additional overnight stay.
