Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park

• Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Kampala by our experienced guide in a comfortable 4x4 safari vehicle.
• Journey through Kampala, passing the picturesque tea plantations and stunning farmlands.
• Enjoy a stopover at the Rift Valley for photography and scenic views before proceeding to Fort Portal for lunch.
• Explore the Amabere Caves and the triple crater lakes of Nyakasura Hills in the afternoon.
• Continue to Kasese town, where you'll check in to your lodge and take a nature walk around the serene environment before settling in for the night.

Overnight: Rift Valley Safari Game Lodge / Buffalo Safari Lodge

Day 2: Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

• Start your day with an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Witness the park’s diverse wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, antelopes, and possibly lions in action.
• Enjoy panoramic views of the crater lakes before embarking on a midday boat cruise on the famous Kazinga Channel, home to large schools of hippos, Nile crocodiles, and elephants by the water's edge.
• Marvel at the sunset over Lake Edward and Lake George before heading to the Katunguru Sector for a camping experience.

Day 3: Maramagambo Forest Walk and Kororo Falls Cultural Tour

• After breakfast, set off for a scenic cycling tour through the savannah to the lush Maramagambo Forest. Enjoy a nature walk through the tropical rainforest, visit bat caves, and explore the stunning blue crater lake.
• In the afternoon, experience the rich culture of the Bakonzo people with a visit to Kororo Falls. Learn about their traditional fire-making, food processing, and witness local music and dance.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking and Katwe Community Tour

• After breakfast, proceed to the Kyambura Gorge for a briefing before setting off on an exciting chimpanzee trekking experience. Along the way, encounter a variety of wildlife including forest elephants, antelopes, and various primates.
• Spend an hour observing the chimpanzees in their natural habitat before returning to the lodge for lunch.
• In the afternoon, visit the Katwe salt mining community, where you will learn about traditional salt mining practices and take part in cultural photography

Overnight: Buffalo Safari Lodge

Day 5: Return to Kampala

• After a hearty breakfast, begin your journey back to Kampala, with relaxing stopovers and a lunch break en route.
• Arrive in Kampala in the late afternoon, marking the end of your memorable 5-day safari.
